Lady Elliot is a coral cay located on the southern tip of Australia's iconic Great Barrier Reef, 80kms north-east of Bundaberg, nestled between Fraser Island and Lady Musgrave Island. The Island is situated within a highly protected ’Green Zone’ of the Marine National Park and is a sanctuary for over 1,200 species of marine life. Lady Elliot Island is regarded as one of the best snorkelling and diving locations on the Great Barrier Reef and is renowned for its healthy coral reef and abundance of turtles, manta rays, reef sharks and the entire cast of ‘Finding Nemo’. Guests can snorkel straight off the beach and they don’t have to worry about stingers.

There is so much to discover on Lady Elliot Island and there are plenty of complimentary activities on offer to help guests learn more about the Island and it’s unique history, flora, fauna and incredible marine life. Lady Elliot Island is an underwater haven for both snorkellers and divers. Snorkelling on the reef surrounding Lady Elliot island is easily accessible straight off the beaches or book on to one of the daily glass bottom boat/guided snorkel tours or snorkel safaris. Lady Elliot Island offers a diverse diving experience with 20 incredible dive sites around the island which are easily accessible by boat dives.

There are turtles in the water all year around, Green and Loggerhead turtles nest on Lady Elliot Island from November to March and hatchlings emerge between February and April. The peak Manta Ray season is May to August and Humpback whales migrate past the island from June to October. Lady Elliot Island is one of the most significant seabird breeding sites on the Great Barrier Reef and large numbers of seabirds frequent the island between October and April each year.

Scenic flights to Lady Elliot Island depart daily from four (4) convenient departure points - Bundaberg (30mins), Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast (40mins), Brisbane (Redcliffe - 80mins) or the Gold Coast (100mins).

NB: Bookings cannot be confirmed until full payment is received. Cancellation Within 14 days of arrival - 100% cancellation fee applies to total booking. 100% cancellation fee within 14 days of arrival will only be refunded in full or funds placed in credit for future travel if travel restrictions are changed by the Government Authorities due to Covid-19 Peak Season (4-26 Apr 2020; 12 Dec 2020 – 26 Jan 2021): Min 3 nights 20 Dec 2020 – 5 Jan 2021 Child 3-12 years Infant 0-2 years $28 cot hire per booking Amendments Excess alterations/changes may incur an administration fee of $25 per amendment.
